  • On May 20, 1933: Turkish Airlines was founded with only 5 aircraft and less than 30 employees.
  • In 1947: The first Turkish flight to fly overseas took off from Istanbul to Athens.

Passengers can check in online through Turkish Airlines website or mobile app between 24 hours and 90 minutes before take-off.

  • Passengers who checked in online need to arrive at the airport at least 3 hours before takeoff.
