SpiceJet Baggage Allowance

  • Checked baggage: SpiceJet has a baggage allowance for its passengers of 15 kg for domestic flights. From IXJ and SXR, a free checked-in baggage allowance is 22 kg per passenger per flight. However, for flights from EX-IXJ and SXR, a free baggage allowance is 22 kg.
  • At the Airport: If a passenger is carrying more than the free baggage allowed, he/she will be charged a fee of INR 300/kg for those domestically.
  • Prepaid excess baggage: Up to 6 hours before your flight, you can reserve excess baggage at a set fee mentioned on SpiceJet’s website
  • For flights flying from Jammu and Srinagar, hand-luggage is not allowed. However, passengers can check in 7 kgs, free of cost.
  • Anything heavier than 7kgs is applicable to a charge of 400 INR.

SpiceJet Check-in Information

  • All passengers on domestic flights only are required to check in online at least 60 minutes before the scheduled departure time. 
  • Web check-in allows checking for other passengers, a maximum of 9 at a time.
  • Seat selection, as well as baggage check-in, are also available through web check-in.
  • Passengers who checked in online are still required to report at the airport at least 2 hours before the scheduled departure time.
