Was reluctant to book this hotel after reading some of the negative reviews. We were so pleasantly surprised. The treehouse was beautiful clean, comfortable and in a beautiful property where elephants, monkeys, buffalo and fire flys can be seen <3 Even with nature, is close to amenities and the manager Mahinda ordered good priced tuktuks takinf us to a lovely area for dinner, which was catered for the foreign tourist and the food delicious and vibe amazing :) to top it all off i had an injury which needed stitches (not properties fault) and this was very late at night. Mahinda rushed me to hospital with his friend who drove the tuk tuk and stayed up with me all night and translated on my behalf to making sure that i was treated and safe. They both stayed up all night and didnt expect anything in return. Really lovely kind people especially Mahinda who seems to mainly run the properly on his own and is probably ran ragged but never complains. I would say that in general if you are expecting extreme luxury in Sri Lanka , that you are unlikely to get this, especially at the current time when Sri Lanka is really suffering from different issues and is recovering from the tourist industry being completely shut down with covid. The people are amazing and honestly couldnt do more to help, Mahinda an absolute angel, come to Sri lanka and enjoy it as it is now and help it recover, they deserve it ! Give this property a chance please, better than most in Sri Lanka !!
+ Swimming pool (great in day & also when lit up at night); hotel set in large garden; manager friendly & spoke good English
- Breakfast very average; chalets have tiny bathrooms and little noise insulation, definitely not 25sqm, book other room types
3km to Sigiriya, 300Rs in tuk-tuk, or 14R in bus every 30 mins (also to Dambullah)
The people give us warm service. The dinner is very good. The service is so warm.

This was one of my worst hotel experiences ever, with about 40 nights of hotel stays a year. Check-in was a manual, hand-written process. There was a general sense of disorganisation, and some discussion about whether the room was paid or not. Our driver seemed shocked that they did not have driver accommodation and thought the room they proposed to him was too dirty - he decided to leave straight away. The room-type we booked, a separate structure around the pool, was not available, and we were shown to a wooden tree-house with air conditioning that did not work properly, and which was not very clean. At the reception area, a group of very unhappy-looking guests who were waiting to leave told us that there was never anyone around to help. In the few hours we stayed, there were plenty of people milling around but nobody interested to help much (although they did carry our bags, after a wait). The staff claimed the wifi was temporarily down, but I think this was a lie since the router equipment (and only computer in sight) was lying heaped in a corner, unplugged and covered with enough dust to suggest it hadn't been moved for some time. Despite allegedly being full, the place was suspiciously silent. The restaurant looked unappetising, although we did not eat there. As night fell an hour or so later, the power failed and we decided to cut our losses, call our driver back and leave ASAP. Staff were at best indifferent. Avoid at all cost.
