Piazza Navona

This vibrant piazza bustles with people and is home to over-the-top fountains, baroque-style palazzi, colourful street artists, and lovely eateries. Constructed over the 1st-century Stadio di Domiziano, it was paved in the 15th century and was Rome’s central market for nearly three centuries. Its centrepiece is Bernini’s Fontana dei Quattro Fiumi, a fountain featuring an Egyptian obelisk.
