Royal Air Maroc Baggage Allowance

Check the guidelines to guarantee a comfortable trip. We have piled up the necessary information to adjust the appropriate weight for your Royal Air Maroc baggage allowance.

Checked Baggage

The following entails one-way flights for one passenger:

• Checked baggage weight must not exceed 32 Kg with a maximum size of 203 cm (for all dimensions).
• Checked baggage must be well packed and secured with a tag containing the passenger’s name, full address and telephone number.
• Number of luggage depends on cabin class and flight number.
• Travellers with an Infant may carry checked baggage with 10 kg not included in the adult baggage.
• Checked baggage must not include valuable items, for example, money, silver, jewelry, or any business documents (the carrier is not responsible for any damage to the mentioned items).

Hand Baggage

Check out the following guidelines for smooth and fast boarding regarding the hand baggage allowance:

• The luggage should not exceed the maximum size to fit the overhead locker or under the seat.
• Passengers are allowed to carry hand baggage that does not exceed 115 cm (length: 55cm, width: 40cm, height: 20cm) and with a max weight of 10 Kg.
• In addition to your main hand baggage, you can carry one laptop bag or a small lady's handbag or shopping item from the duty-free area on the flight date that does not exceed measurements. 
• Electronic devices on board must be turned off, protected from unexpected activation and not re-charged during the flight. 
• Specific Medical devices can be carried with sufficient battery for the flight duration.
• Exceptional pets are allowed on the cabin baggage:
  - Blind or deaf dogs, properly muzzled and harnessed
  -Domestic pets (cats/dogs) weighing 5 kg or less and carried in a basket or special bag with ventilation holes.
  -Small tame birds are kept in a cage covered with a blanket/sheet.

Some Restrictions for flights from Morroco to USA

• Powdery substances greater than or equal to 350 ml are prohibited 

• Cosmetic products
• Powdered milk
• Ground coffee
• Spices
• Flour
• Sugar

Excess Baggage 

Travellers with checked baggage exceeding the allowance stated will be subject to excess baggage fees per piece or per kilogram.

Forbidden Items on a Royal Air Maroc Flight

For safety purposes, Royal Air Maroc does not allow specific items to be carried.

• Lithium batteries.
• Devices and batteries that are damaged, defective or recalled.
• Illegal Items in the country you’re traveling to.
• Hoverboards.

Limited Items on hand or checked baggage

• Necessary medicines during the flight.
• Liquids and lotions not exceeding 100ml and must be placed in transparent plastic bags 20cm x 20cm.
• Alcoholic beverages (not exceeding 70% of alcohol volume)

Royal Air Maroc Special Baggage:

Royal Air Maroc airline passengers should check some conditions regarding sports equipment, TV sets and wheelchairs.

Bicycles 

Bikes are allowed in checked baggage with certain restrictions. The pedals must be removed or seated inside. The wheels should be removed and attached to each side of the frame, while the tires may stay inflated.

Television Sets 

Televisions are allowed to be carried in solid packaging. Tv sets are prohibited in the carry-on baggage allowance if the size does not exceed 115 cm and with prior reservation.

Wheelchairs

Wheelchairs are allowed under conditions the storage battery is fixed securely and the other terminal batteries are disconnected.

Sports equipment

• Royal Air Moroc allows sports equipment with charges depending on flight zone.
• The below sports equipment are transported for free:

• One golf bag up to 23 kg
• The surf kit of 23kg with measurements up to 220x40x40.
• Fishing set (2 rods, a pair of boots, a box and a net) not exceeding 300cm long.

• Sports equipment that are allowed on the carrier:

• Golf
• Diving equipment
• Surfboard
• Water-skiing
• Windsurfing
• Fishing equipment
• Delta plan
