Vaccinated passengers arriving from any country, including countries with the new virus variant, can provide proof of receiving complete doses of an approved vaccine 14 days prior to entry, instead of a pre-travel PCR test result. It must contain a QR code and should not have any scraping, cancellation or addition. Certificates without a QR code must be approved by the Egyptian Embassy in the country of the traveller.
The traveller is considered ‘vaccinated’ if he/she have received full doses of any vaccine approved by the WHO or The Egyptian Medicines Authority 14 days prior to entry. Approved vaccines are: Pfizer, AstraZeneca, Moderna, Sinopharm, Sinovac, Sputnik.
A valid international medical insurance is no longer mandatory.
As per information by Egypt Air, passengers from some countries may also need to present a polio vaccination certificate.
