A wonderful melange of cultures
A fascinating city with picturesque natural attractions, historic landmarks and incredible tourist sites! It can be rightly said that Jakarta lucidly packs the essence of Indonesia in a city. On the one hand, there are skyscrapers and gridlocked streets, and on the other hand, there are bohemian coffee shops and interesting art cafes. There are striking remnants of a colonial past and pockets of avant-garde cultural centres. It can get busy and outrightly chaotic, but Jakarta is delightful, intriguing and endearing. Go there with a sense of wonder and you will be bowled over.
